Summary

About three in four video gamers think global warming is happening, and the majority of video gamers understand that global warming is mostly human-caused.

Most video gamers think global warming will harm plant and animal species, future generations of people, people in developing countries, the world's poor, people in the U.S., people in their community, their family, and themselves personally.

These proportions are similar to the U.S. population overall, although the percentage who think global warming will harm them personally is higher among video gamers than among the U.S. population overall.

About one in five video gamers have seen or heard content related to global warming as part of gaming in the last 12 months, either as a topic in a game they have played or in a video gaming stream they have watched.

About one in eight video gamers say they took actions based on the content they learned about global warming in a game or gaming stream.

More than four in ten video gamers think the video gaming industry should be doing either "Much more" or "More" to address global warming.

Most video gamers think global warming should be either a "Very high" or "High" priority for the president and Congress.
