Dave Eng, Principal, is a creative intellectual, educator, designer, and researcher specializing in games, learning theory, and technology. With a passion for applied games, Dave teaches others how to harness the power of games for education, training, and personal growth.
Currently, Dave serves as a faculty member at New York University’s School of Professional Studies, where he equips learners with innovative strategies for integrating technology and games into learning environments.
He is the host of the Experience Points podcast and a consultant at University XP, where he champions games-based learning to foster engagement and development. Dave also leads the Games-Based Learning Alliance (GBLA), a thriving community for educators and professionals leveraging games to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
As a Senior eLearning Instructional Designer at KnowBe4, Dave designs gamified learning content that improves security awareness and compliance training.
Dave is a co-founder of Banditos Gaming, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to promoting play, community development, and education through games.
With academic credentials that include an EdD from Northeastern University, an MA from New York University, and a BA from the University of Hartford, Dave’s expertise bridges research, design, and implementation. His work focuses on the intersection of learning theory, technology, and games.

Brian Eng
Brian Eng, Design Partner is a gamer, a maker, and a designer. He holds a bachelor's degree in Physics and a postgraduate certificate in Advanced Laser Systems. He has over a decade of industry experience in high tech manufacturing, and is a self-taught practitioner of multiple programming languages, web-development, and test automation. Brian also enjoys completing side projects, such as woodworking commissions, creating professional web based design solutions, and designing modern boardgames.
Brian is an active life learner who combines his enthusiasm for games, design, art, and self-improvement as a University XP partner.
