Using an Interactive Floor System for Game-Based Learning of Human Emotions
Using an Interactive Floor System for Game-Based Learning of Human Emotions
By Stefan Stavrev
Abstract
“Game-based learning is a method on how to teach a group of people certain skills and experiences. In this paper we demonstrate how to design and develop an educational game that teaches young children to recognize human emotions. We use an interactive floor as our medium. These devices are relatively new augmented reality systems that project interactive content on a flat surface. Furthermore, we demonstrate how effective this method of teaching is when applied to children with special educational needs and draw conclusions.”
