Summary

The Mind Calibrator game, showcased at the Sci-Bono FESTO Lab during Mathematics Week, combines numbers and critical thinking to prepare students for the workplace. On May 21, ninety Grade Nine students from three schools play-tested the game, receiving positive feedback. Developed by Andries Mokoena, CEO of Makgalemele Innovation, the game aims to mimic workplace procedures through team-based number puzzles. Originally tested with success at Thandi Sibeko Secondary School, it is designed for Grades Four to 12 and can also be used for adult team-building. Mokoena plans to expand the game into a mobile format with future funding.
