During the final stage of the Redesigning Global Farming & Food Systems Master’s course, students showcased their serious games addressing food and agriculture challenges. The games, developed by the students, tackled issues like deforestation and food scarcity, aiming to help players explore different perspectives and envision future scenarios. Federico Andreotti and Hannah van Zanten, course coordinators, emphasized the role of serious games in designing complex agricultural systems through interactive gameplay and scientific content. This year, the games, tested and refined in the DesignLab, included resource management and problem-solving elements. The most notable game was "Swiftville," which focused on gender equality in agriculture.
