Summary
Creating a culture of inclusivity and diversity is an important part of tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons.
World-building in tabletop games like Dungeons & Dragons is not an easy task, especially when trying to make your games more welcoming for new players.
If you have a player who is from a group that typically goes underrepresented in tabletop games, ask them if they want to bring friends to the table.
Even if their friends don't have gaming experience, new players with a desire to tell stories can bring new depths to your tabletop experiences.
While your game is still in its planning stages, think about the world you're going to portray based on the game materials, adventures you find interesting and any homebrew ideas you have.
Your game setting will not only be a fictional world, but a great fantastical one where the only limits are the players and DM. Once the initial groundwork in worldbuilding is done, work with your players on the content and tone of the game.
Players might want to keep pandemics and natural disasters out of the spotlight or eliminate racial bonuses if the game you're playing uses them.
